apple cinnamon crisps!

delicious healthy snack
i have just discovered this great way to get your sweet fix in a healthy way! APPLE CINNAMON CRISPS! these are amazing! i made them with fuji apples. you have to slice the apples really thin so that they come out nice and crunchy! so, slice your apples (i averaged an apple a pan) and put it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (yes, parchment paper, i was told it wouldn’t work if you used wax paper). then just mix 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon and 1 tbsp sugar and sprinkle it over the apple slices. then place your pans in the oven (preheated at 200 degrees) and bake for 2 hours. once they’re done, take them off the paper and let them cool on wire racks.
=) such a great, healthy treat! if you use the cinnamon sugar mixture as per apple, then one apple with the cinnamon and sugar mix comes out to 2 weight watcher points! =) PLUS, its way cheaper than buying apple crisps from the store!
and, now that i think about it, this treat would probably taste just as great with just the ground cinnamon sprinkled on the apples. i’ll give it a try next time and let you know.
